Driver Falls Asleep Behind the Wheel, Crashes into House

In a car accident early this morning, a 19-year-old man fell sleep behind the wheel of his car and backed into a house, according to Police.

Officers at the scene of the accident say the man dropped off a friend across the street from where the accident took place. He fell asleep while the engine was running and the car in reverse. His foot apparently came off the brake and the car backed into the house.

The officers were initially called out to check on suspicious vehicle. On their way to the scene, officers received a call about a loud banging sound, that turned out o be the car crashing into the house.

The driver was not hurt in the accident but he was given a ticket.
