Another Motorcyclist Killed on I-275 in Fatal Crash

A 29-year old motorcyclist speeding across the Howard Frankland Bridge in Tampa, Florida, lost control of his bike at nearly 100 mph and slammed into the concrete barrier along the side of the interstate, catapulting him into Tampa Bay.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Scottie Ewing was travelling in the outside lane of I-275 on the Howard Frankland Bridge before midnight when he lost control of his 2003 Honda.

Ewing's motorcycle smashed against the concrete barriers before throwing him into the water, where rescuers retrieved Ewing's body. This unfortunate accident is not unlike another recent Tampa accident in which a University of Tampa student was killed on a motorcycle because of excessive speed.
